The Beatles "Reunite" In 2011 To Perform At The Hollywood Bowl?
According to The Scenestar, the two surviving members of The Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform alongside digital images of George Harrison and John Lennon live at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, August 27, 2011 as reported by the UK's Daily Star and other media sources.
"The digitally reunited Beatles will perform with backing musicians at the Hollywood Bowl, where they played two shows together in August of 1964 and 1965. The concert will be a benefit for world peace and breast cancer charities according to reports."
This sounds very interesting. I'm pretty sure tickets would cost an arm and a leg, but it is pretty awesome that The Beatles are finding alternative methods of media (embracing the age of digital music, video games, movies, etc.) for the current generation to experience their legacy. Speaking of The Fab Four and the digital music age, The Beatles sold more than 450,000 albums and 2 million individual songs worldwide via iTunes. Billboard reports, in U.S. the best-selling album was Abbey Road and best-selling song was "Here Comes the Sun."
We will keep you posted once further information of The Beatles "Reunion" show is revealed.
UPDATE: As the source is coming from a UK tabloid we are gonna just file this one under the Rumor Mill until further confirmation.
