If that's not convincing enough, the band is set to appear at this years Coachella Music Festival.
Their fourth LP has officially been titled Angles, which, according to guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr. in an interview with Rolling Stone, is because "[i]t's what the record sounds like. It comes from five different people." The interview also revealed the first single from the album "Undercover of Darkness," as well as several other songs included on the LP such as "Taken for a Fool," "Life is Simple," and "Machu Picchu."
Easily the best news that comes from the interview is the reveal that The Strokes will in fact be touring this year, but also that, according to Hammond, Jr., "We want to come back strong but slowly, so we can grow live and also make new music. We want to release albums quicker.”
Angles is set to be released on March 22nd, so mark your calendars and get ready!
