[CMJ 2011] Spotlight: Lightouts

Taking to the stage at our 6DB Unofficial CMJ Showcase tomorrow afternoon will be Brooklyn duo Lightouts. In the most random and awesome of stories, the group was formed after Gavin Rhodes put out a want ad in search of "Robert Smith/Emily Haines" and was fortunate to have NYC music scene veteran Greg Nelson respond. From there, the two have generated a nice buzz about the city, pulling comparisons from bands like Surfer Blood and The Hold Steady. We especially love their latest single, "The Eloise Suite", which you can grab for the actual retail price of $FREE.99 over on their Facebook page.

You can have a listen to a collection of their tracks below to prepare yourself for tomorrow. You've RSVP'd, right?
