[Watch] Air Soundtrack 110-year-old film 'Le Voyage Dans La Lune'

As was announced a few weeks ago, French duo Air are set to release a brand new studio album titled Le Voyage Dans La Lune on February 7th via Astralwerks. It was also reported that the duo's upcoming studio effort was influenced by their soundtrack work for the French short film of the same name. The Georges Méliès-directed, 14-minute film was originally released in 1902, and was rediscovered in the 1990s. The film has since been restored, and debuted at this year's Cannes Film Festival with an accompanying score by Air. Today, courtesy of NPR, you can watch the film's climactic parade scene, with all the colour and audible splendour you could hope for. Check it out in the player above.

As well, if you've yet to hear the track "Seven Stars," featuring Victoria Legrand of Beach house, from the duo's upcoming album, head here to give it a listen.
