Arctic Monkeys Announce 2011 Tour Date

Following the release of samples from Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner's Submarine soundtrack, the band has announced plans for a three week long tour across North America. Starting on May 17th in Washington, DC, the tour will see Alex and co. touring down the east coast, with a short stint in Canada, before heading west to finish off with shows in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. After their North American tour, the band will be playing shows throughout Europe well into the summer.

Presale tickets will be available starting this Wednesday, March 9th, with tickets being available for everyone starting on Friday, March 11th, and Saturday, March 12th.

This also comes a few days after the release of the video for "Brick By Brick," a brand new track from the band's fourth LP, which still has no release date. In the meantime, you can check out the tour dates after the jump!
