[Listen] Warpaint - "Love Is To Die"

I love waking up to surprises. Those days where you wake up a little worse for wear and you realise you still have you phone, wallet and passport, but then you check your wallet and there's still money in it! It's a magical feeling. I like it even more when I wake up to find that the night before while I was in a dream-like state that a band I really like released a new track and announced a new album. Today was one of those days as Warpaint have announced their sophomore album and following the ever growing trend it's a self-titled one. Along with that they've tickled our ears with brand new music in the shape of a track called "Love Is To Die" which you can check out below. The ladies are currently doing a short stint around the UK but I'm sure we can expect more dates to be announced in 2014. The 12 track S/T will be released via Rough Trade on January the 20th.

They play Manchester Academy this evening (October 39th) and Brixton Academy in London tomorrow on the 30th Oct. For now treat yourself to the huge sounding track below.

[Watch] Warpaint - "Undertow" Live At Reading Festival 2011

Getting to see these lovely ladies live for the first time over the weekend was an absolute delight. I'd heard purely rave reviews of Warpaint up until this point and they didn't disappoint, playing the majority of their wonderful full length debut, The Fool, it was pure bliss. You can enjoy their hit single "Undertow" from Reading Festival at the top. If you get a chance to see these guys live I would recommend it highly.

[Listen] Warpaint - "Billie Holiday"

Warpaint have announced their next single to be "Billie Holiday which originally appeared on their 2008 EP, Exquisite Corpse. The track has been a favourite with fans and the bands alike and in turn it's been re-worked and mixed up a bit. Not to mention they got it mixed by Pulp bassist Steve Mackey and it was produced by none other than John Frusciante. Pretty impressive to say the least.

The track is also set to appear on the deluxe version of the beautiful debut LP from the sultry ladies, The Fool. The deluxe edition isn't set for release until next month on September 19th but you can listen to "Billie Holiday" below via Rough Trade.

[Watch] TV On The Radio, Battles, Elbow, Chemical Brothers & Warpaint Glastonbury 2011 Highlights

If you've been living under a rock for the past week then you may have missed last weekend, which musically was what we'd call a goodie. With the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury Festival being this year the festival went off with a huge bang. Loads of surprise sets not to mention the actual line up minus surprise sets. We posted a good deal of our favourites yesterday (sorry if they got taken down before you got a chance to watch 'em but the internet police got to some). Today though we have our final blast of personal faves for you to sit back enjoy.

We have TV On The Radio for you to enjoy firstly up at the top followed by Battles after the jump. Then my local boys done good Elbow will entertain you with some great sing alongs from the crowd. Don't fret though, there's still two more lots of highlights to check out after that with a great set from The Chemical Brothers and a chilled set from those sultry girls, Warpaint

With it being such a momentous weekend of live music in a rather large gathering of fields in the UK Countryside why not soak it up from the comfort of your home or office. Sit back and enjoy one of the greatest festivals the world has to offer. It'll be 2013 when we next see bands performing at Worthy Farm with them taking a year off next year to rest the  fields (plus there's some event in London with loads of Athletes and stuff, the Olympics or something, Google it). So until 2013 let's have a toast to the organisers and performers for what was truly a great weekend of music.
