[Watch] Childish Gambino - "Telegraph Ave" (Official Video)
Childish Gambino has been progressing over the years into his own man. A man that does what he wants, when he wants. His latest release was no different. He just dropped a free mixtape titled STN MTN and then quickly followed it up a day later with an EP, Kauai, which you can grab on iTunes. When paired together, the 2 releases create an 18 track journey into Glover's mind, with varying degrees of styles and pace. It's quite simply a wonderful ride that is over just as quickly as it begun. Repeat worthy.
However, not stopping at creating a great double release in the past week he's now released a clip for his Because The Internet featuring "Telegraph Ave ('Oakland' By Lloyd)". The clip features Gambino heading out on a road trip to what looks like paradise (it's actually the island of Kauai!) with R&B singer Jhené Aiko. They're having an idyllic time with a beautiful backdrop, but things are not quite what they seem as things take a rather dark, and Halloween worthy turn. Not one to deliver a bad video, you'll have to check out the clip above to see how things turn out.
[Watch] Royal Blood - "Ten Tonne Skeleton" (Official Video)
Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher, better known as Royal Blood, exploded onto the music scene this year and deliver, for me, a musical highlight of the year with their self-titled debut. If you like riffs they've got you covered. If you like noisy two pieces, they've most definitely got you covered. If you like guys in leather jackets, yup, they've got your back. They've also now added cinematic official videos to their résumé with a great looking accompaniment to "Ten Tonne Skeleton". Check out the clip above and if you haven't already, go pick up their album. You won't regret it. I promise.
If you're feeling super hyped about these two, and this track in particular, and would like to add to your 7" collection, the 7" single featuring B-side "One Trick Pony" will be released on December 1st.
[Download] Two Tracks From Wavves Frontman Nathan Williams’ New Band Spirit Club
Nathan Williams has been keeping himself busy recently with more than one project, and he seems to be really enjoying himself in the process. While we await more new music from Wavves, he's teamed up with his brother, and Andrew Caddick for a release under the moniker of Spirit Club. Dropping the two tracks as a surprise yesterday via Twitter, you can see what he has to say about it below:
Alright ppl I'll post 7" art, two new songs and media fire link in next five min. The songs were all written and recorded at my house

The tracks themselves are fuzzy, hazy, laid back tunes with a little less angst than some of his more recent Wavves releases. No official word on whether or not an official release is coming but I'd say from looking at the back cover of the release above, that they'll drop via his own Ghost Ramp label. Grab yourself the new tunes "Eye Dozer" and "Sling" below. I for one am liking the tunes and will happily take almost anything Nathan throws out. Heck, I still use "King of the Beach" as my ring tone 4 years on! (Damn, I didn't actually realise it'd been 4 years since that album dropped!)
[Watch] Queens of The Stone Age's Full Set from the Movistar Arena, Chile
While the festival summer may be over, we can still look back fondly on the bands we most enjoyed. For me, that would be Queens of The Stone Age who played a biblical, career spanning set of tracks in August at Reading & Leeds Festival. Now the weather outside my window right now looks miserable and the memories of summer fade into darkness. Winter most definitely is coming. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy some awesome live music from the warm, comfort of our homes though, does it? QOTSA played close to a 2 hour set a few nights ago at the Movistar Arena in Chile, once again reaching into their ever growing back catalogue of hits. You can check out the full set above, all while avoiding the elements that plague the outside world. Not a bad deal, huh? Hat top to QOTSA Mexico for the upload.
[Download] Ryan Adams - "I Want To Know What Love Is" (Foreigner Cover)
Ryan Adams' new album is a throwback to the eighties and while I may have only been born in 1989, I grew up listening to my Dad's record collection from that era, and you know what, I like it. Sure, it's cheesy at times, and maybe even predictable, but it just sounds good to me. Maybe I'm looking at it with rose-tinted fondness, but Ryan's new self-titled album is equally brilliant and given it was released in 2014, maybe my kids will grow up and reach for it in my collection when they're growing up and the cycle of the 80s will begin again.
With his new album's sound in mind, he's offered up a true piece of memorabilia by covering "I Want To Know What Love Is" recently for NPR's World Cafe. Originally released in '84 by Foreigner, the result presented to us is a beautiful, stripped back version approaching nearly 7 minutes that remains smooth, emotional and damn right brilliant from start to finish. Whenever you may have been born, however old you may be, enjoy the download of the track below via Stereogum.
[Watch] Arctic Monkeys Live at T In The Park (Full Set)
Arctic Monkeys have been playing headline shows for a while now, and they've gotten pretty damn good at it. Back in 2007 when they got asked to headline Glastonbury for the first time, the band hadn't even been to the festival as punters. Their rise has been meteoric and they're not slowing down for anyone, doing their own thing, evolving with each record. Last night they closed T In The Park in their new found slick fashion with a career spanning set-list which featured an acoustic performance of the old classic; "A Certain Romance". As Alex walks out on stage and begins to play he can hear Disclosure's set in the next tent and begins performing in time to the Brothers' set. If like me, you're struggling with some post-weekend blues, check over your shoulder for your boss, put your headphones in and click play on the video below and waste some of your Monday with the Sheffield lads done good. It's their entire set from what will be the last TITP to take place at the Balado venue. Watch a bit of history go down and enjoy the chants of "Here we fucking go!".
[Watch] Royal Blood - "Little Monster" Live on Jools Holland
It takes quite a lot to keep me up after 10PM on a work night these days. Some might say I'm a boring mother effer who just likes to sleep a lot, and you'd be right. But one reason I will always try and make time for is Later... with Jools Holland. Especially when one of the only bands to have me excited for some new music at the moment are performing. I don't mean music in general. I mean a band that are just starting to make waves with only a handful of songs under their belt, and that band for me right now is Royal Blood. The two piece took to the late night TV slot and performed with gusto, a rendition of "Little Monster" that just about had me foaming at the mouth. It could be that lack of sleep does that to me though, who knows. These guys are going places. Swagger and groove that will rock you right into next week, and that bass work is just divine. Check out their incredible performance below and look out for more later in the week.
[Listen] The Black Keys - "Fever"
It emerged late last week that The Black Keys were planning on releasing a new album rather soon. Patrick Carney had been teasing fans on his Instagram posting numerous pictures relating to the colour blue, in between his ever funny digs at Justin Bieber. Along with that we were set to get a brand new track today. Announcing their new album Turn Blue will be released on May 13th via one of the most weird videos I've seen recently, posted on Mike Tyson's Twitter account, the duo are back! Below you can stream "Fever", the first track taken from the new LP and it merges together a more electronic sound from the pairing along with the classic groove the two are so renowned for. I think this album will be one of the most highly anticipated of the year. Let's wait to see what the rest of the album delivers but this is one tasty first bite of what they've been cooking up since El Camino's release in 2011.
