[Watch] Death Cab For Cutie Talk New Album x Release Date

Death Cab for Cutie have announced on their website that their new album, Codes and Keys, will be released May 31 via Atlantic. As well as this, they spoke to Zane Lowe earlier in the week and they talked about the release of their new album. In the interview, Chris Walla Death Cab's guitarist tells us that the first single will likely be called "You Are a Tourist". As well as this, Walla told Zane that producer Alan Moulder is mixing the record (My Bloody Valentine). Along with that the band is experimenting with synths and reverb, guitar pedals galore, rather than relying as heavily on their standard tone.
