[Listen] Snow Patrol - "Called Out In The Dark"

Snow Patrol are back after 2 years of work in the studio and they will return soon with a new album titled Fallen Empires but firstly we'll be treated to an EP on September 4th. It'll be the follow up to their 2008 album A Hundred Million Suns and today, on a glorious lazy Sunday you can get a taste of the new direction that the band told fans to take with an "open mind". It's definitely a different direction but it's still the band fans will have fallen in love over the last 13 years and over the course of their previous 5 releases.

This track was bebuted earlier in the week and dubbed Zane Lowe's hottest record in the world right now. It has a disco feel with some nice vocal harmonies and funky drum beat throughout not to mention the prominent bass lines. Lead singer Gary Lightbody describes the new material as "different but great." What do you make of it? Personally I'm in to it and look forward to hearing some more new material from the band, give it a spin for yourselves below.
