Youth Lagoon, aka Trevor Powers, offers up the first taste of his sophomore LP Wondrous Bughouse with the single "Dropla", a quirky, atmospheric trip through the cosmos. The six-minute affair is mild at first, drawing us into the song before the intensity increases. As the tension rises, the calm, raspy vocals of Powers find a powerful emotion, all before winding down into the final two minutes of a serene, piano-driven soundscape.
