[News] The Strokes Releasing New Single Soon, Fifth Album to Drop Later in 2013

2013 has already seen a fantastic start, with rumors of reunions, album announcements, and hell, even David Bowie and Justin Timberlake are back. The year gets even better, though, as we might just hear new music from The Strokes very soon. While Angles took a total of five years to make, it seems the yet-to-be-titled fifth album from the New York outfit is coming along much smoother than we thought. We knew the band was working on the LP as early as June of last year, and now 107.7 The End reports they have received a new Strokes single titled "All the Time". Members of the radio station went further to detail not one but two songs from the album while also giving us some details on the album itself, saying:

While RCA is keeping most of the details of the forthcoming new full length album (yes, you read that correctly) under wraps, we can tell you that of the two songs we heard, one was a more synth driven track, with the other (the aforementioned, "All The Time") packing a classic Strokes sound. No mention of a tour came up, but we can tell you, you'll be hearing new music from the band sooner than later, with the new album to be released later this year."

Billboard has also reported that "All the Time" will serve as the first single from the album, which will see release later this year. Get excited people!
