[Contest] Win a Coldplay 'Live 2012' Prize Pack [US + Canada ONLY]
Coldplay are set to release a new tour film entitled Live 2012 later this month and it's been a whirlwind 12 months for the following the release of their album Mylo Xyloto. Their live shows also took on a whole other dimension with the addition of wrist bands that flashed along to the music for everybody in the audience. Seriously, it looks awesome in an arena setting. So, to celebrate the release we are giving away a prize pack consisting of: the Live 2012 DVD, the Mylo Xyloto album, a t-shirt, and a Live 2012 poster.
To be in with a chance of winning just comment on this post* with your favourite Coldplay track and a winner will be picked at random this Saturday to coincide with the film premiere. To get a taste of what's to come when it's released, check out the performance of "Paradise" from the film above. *Competition is open to US/Canada only and closes at 5pm EDT Nov. 17th.
Live 2012 is set to premiere November 17th via TV network EPIX before being officially released on the 19th of November on CD/DVD, Blu-ray/CD, and digitally of course. Good luck.

In a little over a week SKOA favorites Breton will be taking the stage at my most favorite venue, the Bowery Ballroom. Sprout and I will be there sporting our best dancing shoes and we want to make sure you have a piece of the dance floor! Big Black Delta is rolling through NYC tomorrow night in support of his remix EP for "IFUCKINGLOVEYOU" which is the first single on his newly formed/cleverly-titled label Masters of Bates. Additionally, this month the band will be releasing a digital-only tour EP on August 21st featuring three other tracks, "Betamax", "LeonardMcGeonardvsDrunkenCalculator" and "Put The Gun On The Floor" along with the current single.
If you are having one of "those" weeks, are in dire need of a show as badly as I do AND happen to live in the NYC area then shoot us an email before noon EDT tomorrow (8/9) for a chance to win a pair of tickets to catch BBD live at SKOA's favorite watering hole, Pianos. Animal Kingdom was one of those bands that totally caught us off guard but in the best possible way on our first listen. You may remember a few months back when we loved on their video for their single, "Strange Attractor" so much that we included them on our April Mixtape. Since then we have added their new album, The Looking Away to our summer rotation and have yet to regret that decision.
We are happy to report that the band has ventured to the US of A for a string of dates, which kicks off tonight in Philadelphia, PA and runs through mid-August. Even better: if you happen to be living in the greater NYC area we have a pair of tickets to give away to tomorrow night's (7/25) show at Mercury Lounge.
