[SXSW 2012] Party Party Party: Events You Should Check Out On Tuesday, March 13

Unfortuately for Team SKOA, SXSW 2012 was just not in the cards for us this year. Don't think we're going to leave you emptyhanded on the happenings and goings on of the festival, though! Throughout the week we'll be highlighting events we think you should attend and bands you simply must check out if you happen to be hitting the streets in Austin this week.

[Download] Jonti - "Hornets Nest"

Feast your ears on this delightful Frankenstein of a number, "Hornets Nest" from Sydney's Jonti. I love how many elements come together to pull off this sound. Typically with this many different samples coming together it would come off noisy and a little too experimental for my taste, but he handles all the chaos with great control and reins them in to make something very calm and dancy at the same time.

For his upcoming debut album, Twiligig, he recorded everything himself from start to finish. Since then he's recorded with the likes of Mark Ronson, Santigold, Sean Lennon, the Dap-Kings and producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Kurt Ville). The album is slated for release on October 18th via Stones Throw.

 Be sure to check back for more updates on Jonti, as I'm sure I will continue to be obsessing in the coming months.
