[SXSW 2012] Party Party Party: Events You Should Check Out On Tuesday, March 13
Unfortuately for Team SKOA, SXSW 2012 was just not in the cards for us this year. Don't think we're going to leave you emptyhanded on the happenings and goings on of the festival, though! Throughout the week we'll be highlighting events we think you should attend and bands you simply must check out if you happen to be hitting the streets in Austin this week.

[Listen] Miniature Tigers – "Boomerang" & "Ugly Needs"
Two days ago, Consequence of Sound premiered two brand new tracks from Miniature Tigers' upcoming album Mia Pharaoh, which is set for release on March 6th. Today, following their trend of streaming new tracks from the album each day, CoS have offered up two more songs for your audible pleasure. Below, you can listen to "Boomerang" & "Ugly Needs" in addition to the previously released "Easy As All That" and "Flower Door," "Female Doctor," "Sex On The Regular," "Cleopatra" and "Afternoons With David Hockney." Along with the songs themselves, each individual track will be accompanied by an illustration done by the band's frontman Charlie Band. Each of the illustrations will be turned into lithographs, which can be purchased at the band's website.
Mia Pharaoh is out on March 6th via Modern Art, and, after the jump, you can take a look at Miniature Tigers' upcoming tour schedule as part of the Modern Art Tour as well as take a look at the tracklisting for the forthcoming studio effort.

On March 6th, Miniature Tigers will be releasing their third studio LP Mia Pharaoh, the follow-up to 2010's F O T R E S S. Every day leading up to the release of the album, Consequence of Sound will be streaming a brand new track, each of which will be accompanied by an illustration done by the band's frontman Charlie Band. [News] Tennis and Miniature Tigers join together for West Coast tour
Starting in December, two of the biggest names in the indie pop world will be joining forces for an eleven day, nine concert West Coast tour. Tennis will be hitting the road on December 6th, and Miniature Tigers will be going along for the ride. The tour starts in Phoenix and will take both bands throughout California, and up through Portland and Vancouver before finishing off with shows in Seattle and Denver.
You can check out all nine tour dates and locations after the jump. As well, Tennis is currently working on their sophomore LP, which is being produced by The Black Keys' own Patrick Carney, so look forward to more news regarding the album in the coming months.
