[Listen] Rival Schools - "69 Gunz (Ad Rock Remix)"
It appears that Beastie Boys' Ad Rock got a little antsy for his own album to drop (which is next week, btw). What to do? Remix a post-hardcore band, duhh! Not that we're complaining, as Ad Rock managed to take a bright guitar-driven song like Rival Schools' "69 Guns" and transform it with booty-bouncing beats over Walter Schreifels' a capella vocals into almost a completely different song. According to Spin, the band thought that it was a fun experiment for them, despite it defintely being new ground for them.
Have a listen and tell us what you think!
[Listen] Does It Offend You, Yeah? - "Wondering (Dirtyphonics Remix)"

Paris group Dirtyphonics does a spasticly heavy remix to Does It Offend You Yeah's song "Wondering". If you're into the remix, it will be available for purchase some time next month, so keep an eye out for that.
DIOYY will be wrapping up their tour on Sunday for awhile, picking up again with some shows in June. Be sure to head over to their website to see if they're playing in your town.
[Download] Foster The People - "Pumped Up Kicks (The Knocks Remix)

Pigeons and Planes tipped us off to this remix of Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks" courtesy of The Knocks. Basically they took an already great song and just put some more meat on its bones, so to speak. It's definitely much heavier and dancier than the original, so bravo to The Knocks for the slight transformation.

[Listen] Adele - "Set Fire To The Rain (Plastic Plates Remix)"

Taking a break from the Record Store Day spoils for a bit, check out this amazing remix of Adele's latest single "Set Fire To The Rain" by Plastic Plates from her amazing chart topping, record breaking album 21. Adele is seriously killing it this year and with an album like 21 who can blame her. Check out the remix below.

[Listen] Lykke Li - "Sadness Is A Blessing" (Gold Panda Remix)
This was a pairing that I never thought of for a remix, but it totally works. Gold Panda managed to take Lykke Li's "Sadness Is A Blessing" and make it all the more beautifully devastating than it already was. It's not as raw as the original, but this take definitely does not leave any of the emotion out from the song.

[Download] Gang Gang Dance - "Mind Killa (Blackbird Blackbird Remix)"
As if "Mind Killa" couldn't get anymore heavy and dancy, Blackbird Blackbird goes and rubs some glitch dirt all over the track into every little nook and cranny.
If you've been digging BB's stuff as much as I have, you should check out his Kickstarter campaign and help him fund his upcoming album.

[Listen] Beastie Boys - "Make Some Noise (Passion Pit Remix)"

As things start picking up in the Beastie camp for Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, the remixes are starting to trickle in for their single, "Make Some Noise". This one comes to us from the Cambridge based electro-pop group Passion Pit. I normally like their remixes but this one seems to fall short somewhere and I can't quite put my finger on it. Feels constricted somehow.
Looking forward to more remixes of this song! Anyone heard any good ones yet?
