[Listen] Adele - "Promise This" (Cheryl Cole Cover)

Earlier this week in the UK Adele's sophomore album 21 on Jan. 24th. Over in the States you'll have to wait until February the 22nd to pick up a copy. Today however, BBC Radio One held a special Live Lounge Session in celebration. We've recently had her new single "Rolling The Deep" being played on almost all UK radio stations! Not that we're complaining as the track is highly infectious and sultry voice could make the best go weak at the knees. 

As we know when artists step into the Live Lounge special things can happen and today during the special, which was recorded at the world famous Maida Vale studios, we were treated to another little music gem. I don't know how recognisable Cheryl Cole is over in the States. To the best of my knowledge she's just been turned down a role on American Idol for that very reason, not being famous enough over there. Here in the UK however she is a household name and Adele covered one of her singles doing it more than a little justice.The track she covered was "Promise This" and with the help of some back vocalists and a band she turns a kind of dull pop song, albeit catchy, into a soulful, smooth vocal track that made me get a few goosebumps.
