[News] Coldplay To Release New Single On Friday (June 3rd)

Earlier we mentioned that Coldplay had been teasing fans with lyrics videos. As I also mentioned I thought it was building up to some news today/later in the week. Turns out I was right, who'd of guessed. Coldplay have taken to Twitter again and said "Enough teasing... we have a new song called Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. Hear it on Friday." In a full message on the band's website Will says:

"Dear friends

We're about to play a bunch of summer festivals so it's as good a time as any to put out a new song.

'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' will be available digitally on Friday 3rd June at 12pm (BST), except in the UK where it'll come out on the stroke of midnight between Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June.

We'll also stream it here on Friday and give it a run out at Rock Im Park.

Love Will"

So there we go Coldplay fans, you'll have some new material to get your teeth into this weekend. It's not clear whether the track will feature on the bands new album or if it's just an added bonus. Time will tell. For now, check out the artwork up at the top.
