[News x Listen] Damon Albarn Announces Democratic Republic of Congo Album, Hear Three Tracks Now

Last month we got wind of a trip Damon Albarn was making to the Congo with a group called @DRCMusic. On that trip he planned to make an album within a week along with the help of local musicians and a host of talented producers he was taking with him. Dan The Automator, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Jneiro Jarel, Richard Russell, Actress, Marc Antoine, Jo Gunton and Kwes were among those with him in Democratic Republic of Congo. Today Damon has announced the album is finished and not only that the album, titled Kinshasa One Two will be released via Warp digitally on October 3rd in the UK (4th in the UK) and physically on November 7th (8th in the US). Proceeds will go to Oxfam to help their relief efforts in Democratic Republic of Congo and the humanitarian struggles that go on day to day. In the mean time, hit play below and listen to the mellow tones they came up with whilst recording. There's three tracks to sink your teeth into for now.
