[News] Bradford Cox and Cole Alexander Revive Ghetto Cross Project

Four years ago, Bradford Cox (Atlas Sound, Deerhunter) and Cole Alexander (Black Lips) came together under the moniker Ghetto Cross, releasing a song titled "Dog Years". Since then, nothing else came of the collaboration, but, as Pitchfork reports, the pair are once again teaming up and reviving the Ghetto Cross project. To commemorate the reunion of the project, they've released a song titled "Still", which Cox explains "is about the relationship that develops between two young boys, one of whom is autistic and cannot talk, and the other who is an outcast and beaten by his emotionally manipulative father."

Cox and Alexander will release a full album later this fall, comprised of songs recorded by the two around the time Deerhunter released their 2009 album Rainwater Cassette Exchange.

Arabia Mountain, the latest album from Black Lips is out now and today we can enjoy the video for new single, "Noc-A-Homa". It follows the downfall of the once celebrated mascot of the Atlanta Braves as he slums it on the streets and turns to crime in order to get by. Turns out he can still slug a ball like a champ though. Enjoy it at the top.

[Watch] Black Lips - "Raw Meat" (Official Video)

Last time we saw Black Lips in video form they looked a little worse for wear in the blasphemous visual for "Family Tree" in which we saw copious amounts of gruesome scenes and blood laden band members. Their new video for "Raw Meat" is a little more laughable as it portrays the band as some corrupt cops running riot on the streets. Bad behaviour, gun firing and a retro vibe, check it out at the top of the page via Urban Outfitters.
